WTF is ChatGPT-4?

Adieu ChatGPT, hola GPT-4

By now we’ll know about the truly wonderful ChatGPT, the sidekick, the wise old sage or the witty companion, whatever you may call it, the bot is definitely a thing of great use. But do you also know about GPT-4, well if not, read on.

What is GPT-4?

A step ahead of its predecessor the ChatGPT that used its uncanny capability to produce elegant writing, the GPT-4 is a tool for analyzing images and imitating human speech.  The fourth iteration of the OpenAI is trained on an even larger corpus of text data, which means it has a wider range of knowledge and can generate even more natural-sounding responses.

What can it do?

Along with all that ChatGPT can (of course in a better way), the GPT-4 can handle pictures too, using what is touted as the multimodal technology. So, in simpler terms, you can also feed in a picture along with the text and it will be able to process both and explain it to you. OpenAI also ensures that it has invested the past six months in making sure the new software is more secure. It claims the GPT-4 is much more collaborative, creative and accurate than the previous version ChatGPT-3.5 and is “40% more likely” to produce factual responses. Like all good things, ChatGPT-4 also comes with a price tag. As of now, the new version is only available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers for $20 (around ₹1650) a month or sign up as an API tool for developers to build into their applications. Or you can also join the waitlist here.
