Apple’s latest event focused on major hardware updates, smarter features, and improved durability. The company unveiled its new flagship iPhone 17 series, alongside the sleek iPhone Air – the thinnest iPhone to date. The lineup also includes updated AirPods Pro 3 and the latest Apple Watch models. All devices are now official, with pre-orders starting this week and most shipping to India by September 19. Here’s everything launched.
Apple’s new iPhone Air pushes the limits of slim design, measuring just 5.6mm thick and crafted from glossy titanium with Ceramic Shield glass on both sides. It sports a 48MP main camera for sharp, pro-level shots, and an innovative 18MP square front sensor that lets you take landscape selfies and record from both front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Powering the device are three efficient chips—the A19 Pro for overall performance, the N1 for fast wireless connectivity, and the C1X modem for energy-efficient cellular use, all contributing to all-day battery life.
The iPhone 17 gets a major glow-up this year, borrowing features from its Pro siblings and adding a clever twist of its own. The highlight is a brand-new ‘Centre Stage’ front camera with a square sensor that lets you snap landscape selfies while holding the phone vertically—no more awkward juggling to fit everyone in the frame. It also uses AI to automatically widen group shots and lets you record from both front and rear cameras at once.
On the back, the iPhone 17 steps up to dual 48MP cameras, offering main shots plus detailed ultra-wide and macro photography. The display expands to 6.3 inches, featuring ProMotion’s 120Hz refresh rate and a tougher Ceramic Shield 2. Powered by the A19 chip, the iPhone 17 delivers faster performance and solid battery life. Storage starts at 256GB, and color choices include Lavender, Mist Blue, Sage, White, and Black.
Apple’s iPhone 17 lineup peaks with the Pro and Pro Max models, now featuring the largest batteries in iPhone history. Both feature a redesigned camera “plateau” with a triple 48MP camera setup. Telephoto zoom improves to 8x optical, while the front camera jumps to 18MP. The iPhone 17 Pro sports a 6.3-inch display, and the Pro Max stretches to 6.9 inches.
Powering the pair is the A19 Pro chip and iOS 26, alongside a 120Hz Super Retina XDR display hitting up to 3000 nits brightness. Connectivity gets a boost with Bluetooth 6, Wi-Fi 7, and the new N1 wireless chip. Storage ranges from 256GB up to a massive 2TB on the Pro Max. Video enthusiasts will appreciate Dolby Vision HDR, 4K at 120fps, ProRes Log, plus up to 40x digital zoom.
Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 aren’t just earbuds, they're fitness companions and travel buddies rolled into one. With a built-in heart rate sensor, they sync workout data to the iPhone’s Fitness app, track over 50 exercise types, and offer an AI-powered Workout Buddy for on-the-go motivation. Fitness+ users can see real-time stats right on their screen.
The AirPods Pro 3 also feature Live Translation (beta) for cross-language chats and a beefed-up Active Noise Cancellation that’s twice as effective as before. A new XXS ear tip improves fit, while battery life now stretches up to 8 hours with ANC and 10 hours in Transparency mode. Plus, they’re rugged and ready with an IP57 rating.
The Apple Watch Series 11 brings several noteworthy upgrades. It features enhanced durability, thanks to a tougher Ion-X glass that offers better screen protection. The Series 11 now supports 5G connectivity for faster and more reliable mobile performance. It also includes improved health tracking features and promises a battery life of up to 24 hours on a single charge. One of the most talked-about additions is the potential to detect hypertension (high blood pressure), which is expected to roll out in select markets soon.
Targeted at fitness buffs and outdoor adventurers, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 pushes the envelope with a larger, more rugged display and advanced features designed for extreme conditions. It introduces satellite connectivity, allowing users to stay connected even in remote areas. The Ultra 3 also offers a massive 42-hour battery life, supporting longer usage between charges. Like the Series 11, it includes the promising hypertension detection feature and builds on the durability and fitness-focused tools from previous generations.
Apple also refreshed its affordable offering with the Apple Watch SE3, now powered by the S10 chip, featuring an always-on display and up to 18 hours of battery life. A notable highlight across Series 11 and Ultra 3 is the upcoming hypertension detection feature, set to roll out in select regions. Alongside, Apple unveiled the AirPods Pro 3 and iPhone 17 series, rounding out a big year of product upgrades.
