Apple expected to launch new iMac and MacBook

Apple aficionados, get ready!

Apple recently unveiled the latest Apple Pencil with a USB-C port. If all falls in place this innovation is just a taste of what's to come. Apple's Mac lineup has been anticipated for an upgrade, and we've got some thrilling insights from Mark Gurman hinting that new MacBooks and iMacs are right around the corner. It looks like we might be in for a treat with a 24-inch iMac refresh and brand-new MacBooks coming our way later this month.

Mark Gurman's recent Power On newsletter drops hints about Apple's plans. He mentioned that Apple is gearing up for a Mac-focused product launch, possibly happening by the end of this month. Notably, the 24-inch iMac with the M1 chipset has been around since 2021, making it ripe for an overdue upgrade.

According to a report from Bloomberg, it appears that the current stock of Apple iMacs and MacBook Pros is running low, which is often a sign that a planned upgrade is on the horizon. Mark Gurman also points out that Apple had previously aimed to release a "larger, pro-focused iMac" shortly after the launch of the 24-inch iMac.

The major change expected with this new iMac is a processor upgrade. It's the last remaining model in Apple's lineup that hasn't been updated to the M-series chip. The newer processors are said to bring a significant boost, with 18% faster CPU performance and up to 35% faster GPU performance, as per Apple.
