HMD X Heineken’s ‘The Boring Phone’ has no apps, web browsers, or email

You can play ‘Snake’ on it but!

HMD wants us to have fun. To make it possible the brand has partnered with Heineken and creative minds at Bodega, and introduced The Boring Phone. This funky translucent flip phone skips the apps and opts for pure retro charm, so you can just kick back with friends and enjoy a cold one.

Before we give out its specs, it's (actually) crucial to note that The Boring Phone won't be hitting the shelves,it's exclusively available through giveaways. This limited edition collaboration, as per Heineken's website, will see only 5,000 units produced.

Now, as for the specs, the phone has a 2.8-inch QVGA display on the inside, complemented by a 1.77-inch display on the outside. For those quick snaps, it's equipped with a 0.3-megapixel camera, and yes, it still sports the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack.

Connectivity-wise, it supports calling and texting across 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. You can also enjoy a classic game of Snake, a nostalgic nod to HMD's Nokia heritage. And, for navigation, simply text your friends for directions, as suggested on Heineken's promotional website. You can stay updated on all things Boring Phone by signing up on Heineken's website.
