Google Pixel Tablet sticks to a speaker to become a smart home hub

Pretty face, pretty soul?

Google has finally dropped its much-awaited Pixel Tablet at the Google I/O and boy does it pack a punch! This first-generation Google Tablet comes with the Tensor G2 chip and if you thought that was impressive, wait until you hear about the charging speaker dock!

You can take the Pixel Tablet and plonk it on a charging speaker dock and use it as a smart home hub. It’s pretty simple and intuitive. The 10.95in 24-bit LCD display with 500 nits of brightness and an aspect ratio of 16:10 sits comfortably on the dock and the dock doubles down as a speaker. And here's the cherry on top - it's USI 2.0 touch pen compatible! So you can unleash your inner artist and let your creativity run wild.

The Pixel Tablet is not just a pretty face! Along with Google's Tensor G2 chipset under the hood, it's got a Titan M2 security chip. The Pixel Tablet is available with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

As for optics, both the front and back cameras are 8MP with fixed focus and an 84-degree angle of view. Plus, they both house a 1/4in image sensor but what really sets the Pixel Tablet's cameras apart are features Night Sight, Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur (similar to Pixel 7 series smartphones).

The Pixel Tablet is available in Hazel, Rose, and Porcelain colour options, and at $499 (around ₹40,000).
